An incineration plant in Næstved, Denmark, had two flue gas fans installed.

In connection with upgrading and building of two new complete flue gas cleaning systems at FASAN, an incineration plant in Næstved, Denmark, JHM Jørgen Hansen Maskinfabrik A/S has supplied an exhaust fan and a booster fan for Alstom Danmark A/S.

Installation
The flue gas fans are placed between the flue gas cleaning system and the scrubber system and the flue gas has a temperature of about 140°C when passing the fans.

Both flue gas fans are made with exhaust box and emergency motor equipment built up with respectively free-wheeling bearing system / gear motor and "flying start" / emergency motor.

  • Special feature: The fan is with intermediate suspended impeller and built up with emergency motor equipment (free-wheeling bearing housing and gear motor), ensuring that the fan can be started up and run emergency
    operation at idle speed.
