Positive operating filters for continuous filtration

Moldow SB type filters are modular bag filters developed for the continuous filtration of widely varying quantities of air with heavy dust loadings and a demand for total reliability and flexibility in operation.

SB filters are enclosed, modular bag filters suitable for outdoor installation either on roofs, above waste containers or at ground level outside the building. The roof of the filter is of pitch design to effectively shed rain water. Each filter module can be supplied with 16, 32 or 48 filter bags manufactured from a variety of materials to suit particular applications.

SB-filters are made either with a chain conveyour system (type SBA), rotary valves (type SBT), screw conveyor (type SBS), Jet-air conveyor (type SBJ) or simply with bags or plast containers beneath the hopper for the dust collection (type SBD).

Type SBA
The waste is conveyed by the exhaust air into the top of the filter, heavy material falling to the base where it is transported by a chain conveyor to the filter outlet where a rotary valve meters it into a container or into a secondary transportation system. SBA filters can be supplied with any air capacity from 20.000 to 230.000 m³/h.

Type SBT
This design is for installation above the waste silo/container and is fitted with either a rotary valve to discharge waste. The SBT can be installed in similar manner to the SBA and can be fitted with top or bottom inlets. Capacities range from 10.000 to 30.000 m³/h.

Type SBS
The waste is conveyed by the exhaust air into the top of the filter or into the gable, heavy material falling to the base where it is transported by a screw conveyor to the filter outlet and through a rotary valve into a container or into a secondary transportation system. Standard SBS filters can be supplied with air capacities from 10.000 to 60.000 m³/h.

Type SBJ
The waste is taken from the production machines by a low pressure pneumatic system conveyed to the filter and finally discharged to a baler, compactor or container. If the pieces of waste are too big a special
